So I gave up sweets for Lent, which, you know, fine.  Whatever.  But what horrible timing.  Rooster & Moon just started carrying baked goods by our friends at Sugar Bake Shop.  Which means that I cannot enjoy their amazing whoopie-pies, or their brownies or cookies or their scones or muffins.  All of which are baked fresh and delivered daily, all of which make me want to weep with gluttonous envy.  So you should get in and get some, because next Sunday

Tim Bruns

I am free and clear to raid the pastry case like a viking.  There is a good chance that if you come in next Monday you will see a passed-out Bode on the floor covered in chocolate crumbs (How unprofessional would that be?  Very, that’s how.)  It’s gonna be sweet.

You know what else is sweet?  I got to hear some great songwriters last Saturday night.  I’m talking “Tim Bruns from the band Churchill” – sweet.  If you missed it, a) shame on you, and b) you can hear more at http://churchilltheband.com That wasn’t all…

Randy Ramirez

Randy Ramirez from the band The Heyday started off the night with a heartfelt set.  If you want to hear more, check out The Heyday’s myspace page.  Yes, myspace.  Suck on that, facebook.  You can find them at http://www.myspace.com/theheyday

So maybe you are sitting there, filled with regret that you missed the show, shaking your fist in impotent rage.  Well, shake no more.  While you can’t turn back the clock to catch Tim & Randy, you can set your alarm for next Saturday.  On Saturday next (April 7th) at just past 9 PM, be prepared to be overloaded by awesome.  b. Sous will be headlining a show with Beats Noir.  There will also be a DJ set by The Orchid Set.

Come down and feel the beats, catch the smiles, and grab some drinks.  There will be $3 shots of home mixed “Firewater”, $3 Cans of New Belgium Beer, or get one of each and pay just $5.  What is Firewater?  It’s tasty, try it.  Unless you’re scared.  You’re not scared, are ya?
